EnviroMajik Presents Green Technology Products and Solutions for High Energy Bills

While not an immediate concern in some parts of the United States, it could be an indicator of what to expect in the future.

Georgetown, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/18/2012 -- Another blistering hot summer in Texas means high demand for electricity. This could become a problem for Texans because unlike many other states in the nation, Texas’ electric grid is not connected to the rest of the national grid, which means that Texas does not have readily available sources of supplemental electricity. Rolling “black-outs” are a real possibility as generation capacity struggles to keep pace with increasing demand. As a result, the appliances in your home could experience power surges as your neighborhood participates in the rolling blackouts. This surge results from the return of electricity when your section of the power grid is reenergized.

Another possibility is a “brown-out” condition. A ‘brown-out’ occurs when the electrical demand is great and the voltage drop along the high voltage distribution lines becomes large because of the amount of load on the line. A ‘brown-out’ condition can also be the result of generation facilities mitigating the effects of “reactive power” on the distribution grid resulting from the air-conditioning compressor motors and fans operating in the multitude of homes and office buildings. You, the consumer, notice this as a prolonged dimming of lights or lower intensity of the TV screen when your air-conditioner or other motorized appliance starts. Georgetown resident Michael Robinson, a retired nuclear power plant operator and now an energy management consultant, explains: “When this ‘reactive power’ (measured in VARs or Volt Amperes Reactive) becomes great enough to pose a threat of damaging the generator, the generating facility must reduce the output voltage of the generator in order to keep the VARs within the manufacturer’s specifications for the loading of the generator.” He further explains, “As a result of reducing the generator voltage, and consequently the voltage on the grid, the appliances in your home draw more current (Amperes) because the appliance still needs a specific amount of power in order to perform ‘work’. Power is calculated as volts multiplied by amperes. If voltage goes down, then amps must go up to produce the same amount of power and therefore do the same amount of work.” As the appliances use more current, they get hotter. This is a result of the resistance of the wiring within the air-conditioning compressor motor or any other motorized equipment operating in the home. As the motor gets hotter, it gets closer to ‘failure’ due to overheating.

“But, there are some solutions!” states Mike Robinson of EnviroMajik, a Georgetown based company specializing in energy saving technologies. “We have a device, called the SteadyPowerTM, that suppresses power surges and voltage spikes before they have a chance to affect your electronics and appliances. It is connected to the electrical distribution box in your home and serves as a surge suppressor, an electronic noise and harmonic filter and power factor correction device that mitigates the effects of ‘reactive power’ (VARs) and saves you, on average, between 8% and 18% on your electric bill. Appliances run cooler and therefore they last longer.” He further states, “We are in the process of becoming an area distributor and energy consultant for EnergyShield-ABTM Attic Blanket System (from YellowBlue Eco Tech). This is a double-layered 99.9% pure polished aluminum foil blanket with a high tech insulation, or ‘thermal break’, sandwiched between the aluminum layers. Installing this system in your attic reflects 97% of radiant energy and restricts convection and conduction heat transfer from your attic space into your home thus cutting your heating and cooling expenses by 20-40%!”. That’s pretty significant savings! These products are also available for commercial applications.

Mr. Robinson says, “We are often asked how we differ from other energy savings companies. We are different from many other companies because of the products that we market. For instance, the SteadyPowerTM by Vollara, offers a 10-year, $25,000 warranty and has a life expectancy of over 20 years. The EnergyShield-ABTM Attic Blanket System is the same technology used to control the temperature in the International Space Station and the space environment suits used by our astronauts. I guess you could say that the products we offer have been thoroughly tested and will live up to expectations. But first, they have to live up to mine.”

The SteadyPowerTM by Vollara must be installed by a licensed electrician for the warranty to be activated. The EnergyShield-ABTM Attic Blanket System is installed by factory-trained specialists, is proven to reflect 97% of radiant energy and is an EnergyStar rated product. For more information on these and other money saving, green technology products, contact Michael Robinson at EnviroMajik.

One Percent Singles Cruise and Ball for the Wealthy

The wealthy fear connecting with gold diggers. The 1% Singles Cruise & Ball helps them meet romantic eligibles on their own financial level.

San Rafael, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/17/2012 -- Wealthy singles of all ages are invited to meet their peers on the first-ever 1% Singles Cruise, November 4-17, 2012; and the first-ever 1% Singles Ball, Friday, May 25, 2012, at the Renaissance Stanford Court Hotel in San Francisco.

“In the past, as the world’s largest non-profit singles organization, we have prided ourselves on the low cost of our cruises and parties,” says Rich Gosse, Chairman of The Society of Single Professionals. Over the past 33 years we have totally neglected wealthy singles. That policy ends with the 1% Singles Cruise and 1% Singles Ball.

“Everyone thinks the wealthy have it easy finding love,” says Mr. Gosse. “Nothing could be further from the truth. The 1% live in constant fear that their money will attract gold diggers, seeking to enrich themselves. The 1% Singles Cruise and 1% Singles Ball will be opportunities for the wealthy to comfortably meet people on their own level, so they can feel more confident that the attraction is romantic rather than financial.

“The 1% Singles Cruise will intentionally be the most expensive cruise we have ever sponsored,” says Mr. Gosse. “The 1% Singles Ball, at San Francisco’s most luxurious hotel, will be our most costly dance party of the year. But we will not be ignoring the 99%. They will have plenty of affordable cruises and parties to enjoy throughout the year.”

Rich Gosse, Executive Producer of The 1% Singles Cruise and The 1% Singles Ball, is America’s foremost authority on the singles lifestyle. He is the author of eight books on the subject, including You CAN Hurry Love, Singles Guide to America, and A Good Man Is EASY to Find (“This is a great book!” Oprah Winfrey). His expert advice has been featured by ABC’s Nightline, NBC’s Today Show, Oprah, Fox, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, Time, Newsweek, Cosmopolitan, Entrepreneur, Business Week, Playboy, Playgirl, The London Times, The Australian, The New Zealand Herald, etc. Mr. Gosse is available to the news media for interviews by calling 415-479-3800 or emailing rich@richgosse.com. His personal website is http://www.richgosse.com.

The 1% Singles Cruise is aboard Crystal Cruise Line’s Serenity, voted the #1 Cruise Ship in the world by readers of Conde Nast Traveler. The Serenity departs from Istanbul, Turkey and visits the Greek island of Mykonos; Sicily/Catania, Naples, Rome (Civitavecchia), and Florence (Livorno) in Italy; and Barcelona, Spain. The cost for a Penthouse with Veranda, single occupancy, is $14,455. Airfare is extra. Less costly cabins will be available, since even the 1% often enjoy bargains.

The 1% Singles Cruise is co-sponsored by The Society of Single Professionals and The Singles Travel Company. Anyone wishing more information about this and many more travel packages for singles may visit http://www.singlestravelcompany.com or call 1-888-286-8687.

The 1% Singles Ball is co-sponsored by The Society of Single Professionals and other major singles organizations. Elegant attire is requested. The cost is $30 at the door and only includes dancing. Food and overnight accommodations at the hotel are available at additional cost. Anyone wishing more information about this party, as well many more singles parties in the San Francisco Bay Area for the 99% may visit http://www.thepartyhotline.com or may call 415/507-9962.

What Is Hotter Than Facebook's IPO for High Frequency Traders in Warsaw, Poland, and Kiev, Ukraine

Edgar Perez, Presenting The Speed Traders Workshop 2012, "How Algorithmic and High Frequency Traders Leverage Profitable Strategies to Find Alpha in Equities, Options, Futures and FX", Warsaw, Poland, May 11, and Kiev, Ukraine, May 18, 2012.

New York City, NY -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/17/2012 -- As reported by Bloomberg, Facebook Inc.’s $11.8 billion initial public offering will cement the status of 27-year-old Mark Zuckerberg as one of the world’s richest men and put his social network among the highest-valued companies in the U.S. Facebook is offering about 337.4 million shares for $28 to $35 each, according to a regulatory filing yesterday. At the upper end of that range, the co-founder’s stake would be $17.6 billion, making him richer than Microsoft Corp.’s Steve Ballmer and Russian steel billionaire Vladimir Lisin, who are both twice his age, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

Zuckerberg, who began the service for Harvard classmates as a 19-year-old in his dorm room, built Facebook into the most popular social-networking site in the world, topping 900 million users last quarter. Now he has to prove he has the leadership skills to deliver enough growth to justify the company’s valuation, said Paul Saffo, managing director at Discern Analytics in San Francisco.

That being said, investors and traders in Poland and Ukraine will be paying close attention to Edgar Perez’s The Speed Traders Workshop 2012, "How Algorithmic and High Frequency Traders Leverage Profitable Strategies to Find Alpha in Equities, Options, Futures and FX" (http://www.TheSpeedTradersWorkshop.com) on May 11 in Warsaw and May 18 in Kiev.
The Speed Traders Workshop 2012 reveals how high-frequency trading players are succeeding in the global markets and driving the development of algorithmic trading at breakneck speeds from the U.S. and Europe to India, Singapore and Brazil.
Perez has been featured on CNBC Cash Flow (with Oriel Morrison), CNBC Squawk Box (with Geoff Cutmore), BNN Business Day (with Kim Parlee), TheStreet.com (with Gregg Greenberg), Channel NewsAsia Business Tonight and Cents & Sensibilities (with Lin Xue Ling), NHK World, iMoney Hong Kong, Hedge Fund Brief, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Dallas Morning News, Valor Econômico, The Korea Herald, FIXGlobal Trading, The Korea Times, TODAY Online, Oriental Daily News and Business Times.

Perez has been engaged to present to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, CFA Singapore, Hong Kong Securities Institute, Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University and Pace University, among other public and private institutions.
Brazil Looks Set to Remain Popular With Investors, Claims AAA

AAA said that Brazil is set to remain the focus of much of the world’s alternative investment attention in the coming years.

Boston, MA -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/17/2012 -- Alternative Asset Analysis, (AAA) said that Brazil is set to remain the focus of much of the world’s alternative investment attention in the coming years.

The views from the Alternative investment advocacy organization reflect those expressed by HSBC Global Asset Management’s Pedro Bastos. He recently spoke at a briefing on the health of the region to investors in Malaysia.

He said that the country remained a “hub” for the creation of businesses. He added, “Among all emerging markets, Brazil has been the best performer for the last ten years, both in equities and fixed income.”

He added that the population of Brazil has become richer and more and more people from outside the country are starting to see it as a good prospect. This is particularly true for alternative investments in sustainable forestry through firms like Greenwood Management, added AAA’s analysis partner, Anthony Johnson.

Bastos told delegates: “Companies see Brazil as a major consumer market. We have an increasing middle class, which is about 55 per cent of the population. In the last ten years, personal income growth has been consistent at 4.5 to five per cent."

Mr Johnson explained that the demand from inside Brazil for steel is exceptionally strong as the country is due to host the Football World Cup in 2014 and the Olympics in 2016. In the meantime, the country is also going through some major growth and is improving its infrastructure as a result.

Steel is also very much in demand in other growing economies, such as India and China, explained Mr Johnson.

He explained “The steel industry needs charcoal and charcoal comes form timbers. Brazil has passed laws to try to prevent the industry taking charcoal form forests and, as a result, there is major demand for sustainable produced charcoal.”

Forestry Popular With Risk-Averse Investors Claims FRA

Bainbridge Island, WA -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/16/2012 -- Environmental Finance has published an article outlining how fund managers are reporting a rise in interest in forestry investment of all kinds. Forestry Research Associates (FRA) says that the future looks bright for forestry, as traditional investments continue to deter pension funds.

Timberland Investment Resources (TIR) was speaking at the Forestry, Sustainability and Biomass conference in London today. The delegate stated, “We have lived through extraordinary times for investors. And the fact is, forestry did what it said it would do on the tin.”

FRA claims that this sums up the attraction of forestry investment for many investors who have been burned by their stocks and shares after huge amounts were lost from markets overnight during the economic crisis. The ongoing uncertainty in the Eurozone region is a further cause for concern for many, who want to diversify their portfolios to protect them from risk.

“Forestry is a risk-averse option.” claims FRA’s analysis partner Peter Collins. He added, “Timber assets offers a stable option as they have continually outperformed equities over a number of years.”

FRA claims that another advantage is the fact that if the timber prices are low when trees reach harvestable size, investors are not forced to chop down their trees. Instead they can simply leave them growing for as long as it takes for timber prices to reach the desired level before selling. “Trees continue to grow, along with the potential ROI,” added Collins.

There are a number of ways to invest in timberland and forestry, explained FRA. One of the most popular among risk-averse investors is to buy up sections of sustainable plantations, which offer a tangible asset in exchange for anything from around EUR10,000 in the case of an investment through Greenwood Management, for example.

Greenwood Management runs teak and eucalyptus plantations in Brazil.

Investing in Whisky Can Pay off Claims AAA

Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/14/2012 -- Although the wine investment market is going through a tough spell at the moment, investing in whisky could still be worth considering for those who want to turn a hobby into a money-spinner, according to Alternative Asset Analysis (AAA).

The alternative investment advocacy group claims that there is money to be made from investing in rare Scotch and other whiskies, that could grow in value over the coming years. AAA’s analysis partner, Anthony Johnson, explained: “many of us are looking for a true alternative investment strategy, which will leave us clear to avoid dealing with stocks, shares banks and bonds. Whisky could be the answer.”

One of the major draws for whisky investors is rare one-off releases, such as John Walker and Sons Diamond Jubilee Whisky, which is priced at £100,000. Although this does come at a high price, the exclusivity of this asset could prove its winning characteristic in a few years time, claims Mr Johnson.

This is not based on rumour, but on fact. “The top-performing ten whiskies gained 400 per cent of their value between 2008 and 2011,” claimed Mr Johnson. Gains of 245 per cent were recorded for the top 100.

Some less expensive whiskies can also prove profitable and a little less risky, claimed AAA, which advocates a wide range of alternative investments. It added that single malts from producers like Macallan and Glenlivet can turn a good profit - particularly if you buy up some rare or older varieties, according to AAA.

As well as interest-based alternatives, like investing in art, wine, whisky, collectibles and real estate, AAA also promotes investing in forestry and timber. “Fast growing timber species, like teak and eucalyptus, can be grown rapidly and sold for a huge profit once the trees reach maturity,"explained Mr Johnson. Those interested in investing in such plantations can contact Greenwood Management about their sustainable projects in Brazil.
They said in their note at http://articles.latimes.com/2010/may/16/business/la-fi-new-exchanges-20100516: "Traders toast their successes at bimonthly happy hours in New York bars. Not quite right though, as these receptions have now become monthly, attracting a hundred professionals every month in New York.

Golden Networking’s High Frequency Trading Happy Hour on May 8 will be a terrific opportunity to reflect on the industry prospects exactly two years after the Flash Crash. While critics pointed to the steep decline of the Dow Jones as a negative consequence of evolving speed trading, it was clearly established just a few months later by the SEC and CFTC that high-frequency trading didn&apost cause this accident; even more so, the sequence of events proved the importance of the liquidity speed traders have been providing to retail and institutional investors.

High Frequency Trading Happy Hour will bring together a who’s who of the speed trading world for a productive evening of networking and cocktails. Traders, quants, managers, investors, allocators, service providers and consultants get together in five cities every month. Service providers have found these receptions tremendously valuable to participate at, as they get to enjoy terrific benefits:

- Unequaled opportunities to reach key decision makers in the high-frequency trading community
- Direct global exposure to hundreds of high-quality attendees
- Enhanced credibility and business opportunity with managers, quants, advisors, consultants, service providers and individual and institutional investors
- Expanded marketing reach by tapping into Golden Networking’s global database of 100,000 finance professionals

FRA Supports Re-Emergence of Finnish Forestry

Seattle, WA -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/14/2012 -- The Finnish forestry industry is on the up once more, according to Forestry Research Associates (FRA), whose outlook is backed by a new study.

FRA is a research and analysis consultancy, specialising in forestry and timberland investments. It claims that, after a period of downturn, the forestry industry in Finland is ripe for investment once more.

FRA’s view on the state of the industry in the Scandinavian country reflects the general outlook within Finland itself, according to a research report commissioned the Finnish Forest Association. The report found that the general confidence in the industry is returning after a tough few years.

Some 76 per cent of those questioned said they felt confident in Finland’s forestry industry’s international competitiveness. This was up from just 61 per cent who said the same back in 2007.

There was also a discovery that three quarters of the people questioned agreed that forestry by-products should be increasingly used in biomass power stations to generate energy.

FRA’s analysis partner, Peter Collins, said, “We very much welcome the news that the outlook among Finland’s forestry industry is more positive than it has been in recent years.

“We hope that this signifies the start of a new period of prosperity for the industry and that investors will be drawn to the asset class as an alternative to stocks and shares.”

FRA supports investment in forestry as an asset class and claims that it has regularly outperformed equities over the past ten years or so. Collins added, “With the increasingly volatile nature of traditional investments, it’s no wonder that wise investors are looking for new places to invest their cash."

FRA supports timber investments through sustainable plantations that provide the chance for investors to buy up areas of forest and support the forestry industry and the communities that rely on it.

Two Years After the Flash Crash, High Frequency Firms on the Move: The Speed Traders Workshop 2012 Warsaw

Edgar Perez, Presenting The Speed Traders Workshop 2012 Warsaw, Poland, "How Algorithmic and High Frequency Traders Leverage Profitable Strategies to Find Alpha in Equities, Options, Futures and FX", May 11, 2012.

New York , NY -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/14/2012 -- It was reported by Reuters that increased scrutiny by U.S. regulators and politicians of high-frequency traders is creating an incentive for them to move to less regulated markets inside and outside the United States, Duncan Niederauer, chief executive of NYSE Euronext. High-frequency trading had come under increased scrutiny since the May 6, 2010 "flash crash," when the Dow Jones industrial average dropped more than 800 points in minutes, before rebounding. Some critics said high frequency trading exacerbated the speed and severity of the fall.

Niederauer said that another result of the increased scrutiny in the United States was that high-frequency firms were accelerating shifts to non-U.S. markets. "I don&apost think the high frequency guys have left the U.S. market entirely, but I do think that they have shifted some of their volume to the less regulated market, which you have to say is a rational decision on their part."

This rational decision by high frequency traders to move to other markets includes Poland. That’s why Edgar Perez is bringing The Speed Traders Workshop 2012 Warsaw, "How Algorithmic and High Frequency Traders Leverage Profitable Strategies to Find Alpha in Equities, Options, Futures and FX" (http://www.TheSpeedTradersWorkshop.com) on May 11 to the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Perez is widely regarded as the preeminent expert in the specialized area of high-frequency trading; he is the author of The Speed Traders, An Insider’s Look at the New High-Frequency Trading Phenomenon That is Transforming the Investing World (http://www.TheSpeedTraders.com), published by McGraw-Hill Inc. (2011).

Sustainability Receiving Boost from Investors, Claims FRA

Forestry investors are helping to boost sustainability, claims FRA.

Seattle, WA -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/14/2012 -- Forestry investors are helping to boost sustainability, claims Forestry Research Associates (FRA).

FRA, along with a host of other experts, are claiming that the increased interest in alternative investments, and particularly ethical investments, is helping to boost the importance of sustainability around the globe.

A recent article in the Financial Times also highlighted how investment in sustainable real estate is also helping to boost the demand for green buildings, with more and more investors realising the benefit of putting their cash towards an ethical project.

“There’s no doubt that green investments are proving more popular these days, explained FRA’s analysis partner, Peter Collins. He added, “Investors are largely disillusioned with the state of economy and the fact that the banks held all the power for so long.”

FRA claims that the tide is changing and that investors are increasingly looking at ways to contribute to a more sustainable way of living and investing.

Forestry investment is one of the areas that has attracted a huge amount of attention in recent years. Investing in sustainable timber plantations offers a lower-risk option for investors who are keen to make an impact with their cash. “Investing in timber is less risky as you don&apost have to harvest and sell your timber when your trees reach maturity – you can always hang onto them and watch them continue to grow until the price is right,” explained Collins.

This, teamed with the fact that timber demand is soaring in emerging markets such as India, China and Brazil, means that prices are set to rise in the coming years. “Investing in timber grown in Canada or Brazil through firms like Greenwood Management offers a uniquely profitable and ethical choice that will help investors get a taste of green investments for as little as around $15,000,” concluded Mr Collins.

Smart Grid Technology Helps FPL Deliver More Affordable, Reliable Electricity to Customers

Bryan Olnick, FPL vice president of Customer Service for Smart Grid Solutions, discusses the roll out of smart grid technology and the benefits for FPL customers. Through April 2012, more than 3.2 million of FPL’s 4.6 million customers have smart meters installed. Installation will continue through 2013.

Juno Beach, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/09/2012 -- This is an exciting time to work in the energy business and it is also a good time to be a customer of Florida Power & Light Company. We are rolling out advanced technology that will allow FPL to improve upon its already industry-leading reliable service and give our customers more control than ever over their energy bills.

The technology includes smart meters, which will replace the traditional meters on the side of your home. Unlike the traditional meters, which required someone to visit your home and read the energy use on a monthly basis, the smart meters use radio frequencies to communicate with our network. Automated feeder switches and other "smart grid" technology we are installing on our poles and lines are integrated with the smart meters, allowing us to reroute power in the case of an outage and minimize the number of customers who will be impacted. The upgrade to smart meters will also help us see outages in the system so we can get to work faster restoring your power.

What&aposs more, you as a customer will have access to the information your smart meter delivers through an "energy dashboard&apos that gives you a complete look at your account and your energy use by the month, day or hour. The energy dashboard will show you your energy use history and even project your bill based on your current use patterns. It will provide additional information about how the weather impacts your monthly bill. All of this is designed to give you greater control over your energy use and, with it, the ability to change your usage to lower your bill. No more surprises at the end of the month!

Not everyone has embraced the value of smart grid technology. You may have read accounts from critics who assert smart meters are a way of "Big Brother" monitoring your personal life. This couldn&apost be further from the truth. Like the older mechanical meters, they measure how much total energy customers use, and not specifically which appliances use that energy. The difference is that the new smart meters can now communicate that information remotely instead of a meter reader having to visit your location once a month. The energy usage information is fully encrypted, and the smart meter does not store or transmit any information about who our customers are, where they live, or what they&aposre doing.

There are critics who worry about smart meters and radio frequency. The fact of the matter is, unlike many other common household devices that transmit radio frequency, smart meters only transmit data in short bursts lasting just a few seconds. The meters are inactive as much as 99 percent of the time. That means they give off a fraction of the radio frequency compared to cell phones or other common household devices, like baby monitors.

Once you experience the benefits of smart grid technology, we think you will agree it is a significant way for us to better serve you, and for you to take control of your energy use. With FPL, you already have a great value, the lowest power bills in the state. Now, with smart grid technology, you have the opportunity to make your bill even lower. Check out http://www.FPL.com/energysmart to get all the information and see how customers are already saving energy and money using their online energy dashboard--a new FPL service made possible by smart meters.

Visit the digital library at http://www.FPL.com/newsroom to download photos and video of smart meters.

IAPAM Announces Next Aesthetic Medicine Symposium With Botox Training June 2-3, 2012

The IAPAM offers the industry's leading dermatologist-led Aesthetic Medicine Symposium with Botox Training in Scottsdale, Arizona on June 2-3, 2012.

Las Vegas, NV -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/08/2012 -- The growth in minimally-invasive, less expensive anti-aging treatments such as Botox ®, dermal fillers, laser skin rejuvenation & laser hair removal, microdermabrasion and chemical peels, continues to explode in 2012. To help physicians add these non-surgical modalities to a practice, and enter this lucrative cash-based market, the IAPAM offers the industry&aposs leading dermatologist-led Aesthetic Medicine Symposium with Botox ® Training in Scottsdale, Arizona on June 2-3, 2012. At the IAPAM&aposs June 2-3 Symposium, physicians receive everything they need, to start safely and successfully offering Botox ® and other in-demand aesthetic medicine procedures right away.

As reported by the IAPAM (http://www.iapam.com) in its Top Aesthetic Medicine Trends for 2012, "the market for anti-aging treatments will continue to expand in 2012. With new technologies, as well as new ways to bundle and market existing procedures, the trend toward more minimally invasive procedures does not appear to be going away any time soon." The IAPAM’s Jeff Russell shares that, “as we have seen with our past annual trends predictions, the key is creating an anti-aging program for each patient&aposs needs. Patients do on just come in for Botox ®, they want a combination of anti-aging treatments which often includes: neurotoxins, dermal fillers and skin rejuvenation with chemical peels, microdermabrasion and physician-directed skin care."

Therefore, the IAPAM&aposs Aesthetic Medicine Symposium http://www.aestheticmedicinesymposium.com is specifically designed by physicians, for physicians, to educate and train on the top cosmetic procedures like: Botox ®, dermal filler injections, lasers for skin rejuvenation & laser hair removal, medical microdermabrasion, and medical grade chemical peels. The IAPAM&aposs June Symposium has integrated the most important clinical, aesthetic medicine business, and Botox ® training ALL into one weekend, including:

- Dedicated instruction from board-certified dermatologists, who are true experts of the skin and cosmetic injectables;
- Hands-on practice in the best injection techniques;
- Botox ® training at a multi-million dollar medical practice, not in a hotel room; and
- An environment that does not allow exhibitors, giving physicians more time for education.

Attendees also have the opportunity to:
1. Attend the IAPAM&aposs Aesthetic Practice Start-Up Workshop (http://www.iapam.com/bootcamp.html) on Monday, June 4, 2012, a program highlighting the latest information on medspa business development and social media marketing.
2. Attend the IAPAM&aposs hCG Training (http://www.hcgtraining.com) on Friday, June 1, 2012, which covers hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) for weight loss, prescription appetite suppressants, ketogenic diet based programs, meal replacements and B6/12 injections.

To date, over 1000 physicians (MDs, DOs, NPs, PAs, DDSs etc.) and their staff (RNs, MAs, practice managers, etc.), have attended the IAPAM&aposs Aesthetic Medicine Symposiums and hCG Training seminars http://www.hcgtraining.com. The dates for the next Aesthetic Medicine Symposium is June 2-3, 2012 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Consider adding aesthetic medicine modalities to your medical practice before the summer! Physicians who have attended the Aesthetic Medicine Symposium with Botox ® Training, and been certified by the IAPAM, testify (http://www.iapam.com/category/testimonials) to the comprehensiveness of the IAPAM&aposs Symposium. Also, the year of practice support and the wealth of resources provided by the IAPAM definitely makes this program different than the others.

BusinessVibes Presents Its Functionalities

For those, who are not that familiar with it, BusinessVibes decided to provide you with some functionalities of this networking website.

London, UK -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/07/2012 -- BusinessVibes (http://www.businessvibes.com) is a new international business directory combined with networking and trade platform. Its main concept is to help associations and companies from all over the world to find new business partners and form partnerships. The platform is a perfect fit for organisations willing to expand their activity and take the opportunity to make new deals. Many of companies already know this website. For those, who are not that familiar with it, we decided to provide you with some functionalities of this networking website.

Each organisation must fill in its profile when logging in for the first time in the way that other members have a good understanding of their activity and requirements. Once registered for free, the organisation is given two profiles. The first one, called the public profile, is accessible to all internet users. It can be found by means of search engines, has its own URL and contains condensed information about the owner organisation (or event /venue). The other profile, more detailed and customized is only shown to Businessvibes users. After organisation connects with another on Businessvibes, it can see more data displayed on the other’s profile.

Organisations can find and network with new or existing partners via the ‘connect’ button. Once connected, both parts have more possibilities to interact and exchange.

Two organisations on BusinessVibes can contact each other through the mailing system. This feature can only be used to get in touch with connected bodies to avoid receiving spam in the Inbox. To get more information about an organisation the platform offers the possibility to exchange customized profile cards. Connected members can also share documents or pictures, write testimonials and start negotiations on a business contract.

Networking online is cheap, fast and easy but there are still the ones who prefer face to face events. That is the reason why Businessvibes makes a comprehensive list of events available on its website. Members can find events related to their industry and held all over the world. Members have the option to register, pay for an event and add it to its own calendar (e.g. on Outlook).

Businessvibes profiles intend to increase online exposure of associations, companies, events or venues registered. Profiles created on the platform are free of charge and if well filled contain a lot of detailed information concerning association such as logo, description of activity or events. This free online promotion enhances members’ website rank on search engines due to an amplified online presence. Additionally members have access to ad slots they can use to go further on their communication scheme.

BusinessVibes lists of members are gathered into industry directories. Therefore, companies join BusinessVibes not only to increase their online exposure and be found easily but also, to navigate through the listed profiles with intention of finding the sought business partner. The directory includes as well events and venues profiles that users can browse easily. BusinessVibes globally covers the most important industries as: Automotive, Agriculture, Food Processing, Chemical, Textiles, Renewable Energy, Research and Development or Software and Internet Allied Services. Each month they expand their database of industries with the new ones.

For a long time there hasn&apost been a website with so many features improving contact between companies and giving them possibility for additional free online exposure. BusinessVibes seems to be a great fit for those willing to contact partners, searching for new ones, looking for interesting events and willing to improve online exposure of the company brand.

FPL Turns Innovation Into an Experience for Its Customers at Company-Wide Expo

“Our operations and maintenance costs are 30 percent better than the industry average.
An FPL business client and the vice president of Production for Hoerbiger Corporation of America, Inc., Kipp was given a hands-on demonstration of how to safely cut metal cables by the employees of FPL’s Distribution team.

“One of the things I noticed was the enthusiasm of the FPL employees,” said Kipp of the Expo. “The Operational Excellence’s focus on continuous improvement appears not just to be a flavor of the month here. Whether it’s an engineer or a technician or someone from Human Resources, all those I met have the same commitment to improvement. The leadership has managed to make it a culture, rather than a program.”

The Expo is a companywide showcase of projects created by FPL employees to improve efficiency, reliability and safety. Welcoming thousands of people and featuring nearly 70 exhibition booths at the Juno Beach headquarters, the Expo spanned FPL’s customer-focused capabilities, ranging from advancing electric-vehicle technology to reducing power outages caused by pine and palm trees. Kipp was one of 98 business clients invited to attend the day-long event on April 27.

Sponsored by FPL’s departments of Corporate Operational Excellence and Corporate Safety, the Expo is an opportunity for teams of employees to share how they&aposve employed Six Sigma-based quality techniques to solve process problems and improve existing programs. FPL offers employees an extensive Six Sigma program that awards certifications for varying levels of training, helping to create a network of more than 1,000 efficiency experts.

“The projects you&aposre seeing on display here today are just part of FPL’s relentless pursuit of efficiency,” said Jim Robo, chief operating officer for FPL’s parent company, NextEra Energy. “Our operations and maintenance costs are 30 percent better than the industry average. That’s a testament to our innovative employees and it’s one of the ways we offer such a great value proposition for our customers - bills that are the lowest in the state and 25 percent lower than the national average.”
